Orchid books of the past century and the present, pamphlets, bulletins, and notes . . . comprise an extensive and not often available literature. For a practical knowledge of orchids—and a peep into their dramatic historic background—you will find the following list of selected references valuable as a start. Each book and pamphlet will direct you to several more; and they in turn will carry exciting hidden references.
